Cicada 3301 was not technically an ARG since nobody is really sure what exactly it was, but it contains almost all the elements needed to create an ARG: player/viewer interactions, solving puzzles, puzzles leading to other puzzles etc.

The players solved puzzles over the course of three years, with the last mystery still being unsolved.
